The NOTION Music Classical Guitar samples were recorded by Benjamin Verdery. The samples were recorded on a 1995 Greg Smallman, an Australian luthier who for over 30 years has been one of the most influential and innovative minds in guitar-making. Smallman has provided guitars for some of the most elite performers in the world, such as John Williams and Benjamin Verdery.
Each sample was carefully recorded at numerous dynamic levels in a normal right-hand playing position as well as sul ponticello and sul tasto using both rest strokes and free strokes.
Other surprises are included in this library such as, numerous golpe options and unique string-crossing samples, a favored compositional technique that is regularly used by Ben Verdery and other composers.

Distinguished as "one of the classical guitar world's most foremost personalities," by Classical Guitar Magazine, "an American original, an American master," by Guitar Review Magazine, and "iconoclastic" and "inventive" by The New York Times, Benjamin Verdery has enjoyed an innovative and eclectic musical career.
Since his 1980 New York debut with his wife, flutist Rie Schmidt, Benjamin has performed throughout Europe, Asia and North America and has recorded and performed with such diverse artists as Leo Kottke, Paco Peña, Andy Summers and John Williams.
Benjamin has released over 15 albums. His most recent recordings are Branches (Mushkatweek) (arrangements of works by Bach, Mozart, Strauss, Hendrix and the traditional Amazing Grace) and First You Build A Cloud (Rare Records) with Andy Summers.
A prolific composer, many of Benjamin Verdery’s compositions have been performed and published over the years. Most recently, Now and Ever for David Russell and Peace, Love and Guitars for John Williams and John Etheridge.
