| Summary:
NOTION Music, Inc. is seeking a qualified Accounting Manager with excellent
organizational and communication skills, as well as a friendly and professional
disposition and willingness to work in a fast paced environment. The successful
candidate must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear
focus on high quality and excellent customer service.
Primary Accounting Responsibilities
Performs general accounting functions: accounts receivable and collection,
vendor payables, cash disbursements, receipts and monthly bank reconciliation.
Prepares and inputs General Journal Entries.
Enter and review Payroll JE.
Reconcile expense reports and corporate credit cards.
Performs monthly close of general ledger.
Prepares and distributes Financial Statements after review with Acting CFO.
Work with CFO to forecast cash flow and manage payables and receivables to
maximize cash flow.
Assists with preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
Recommends procedures to improve operations.
Works with external CPA firm to provide annual compiled financial statements and
income tax returns.
Applies for state tax IDs, files and pays all necessary state sales tax.
Maintains an archive system for all financial transactions.
Works with external audit firm to facilitate annual audit.
Other duties and reports as the CFO, CEO or President may, from time to time,
deem necessary.
Maintains financial records for the company.
Competencies, Skills, Experience and Education Required
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees,
management, and the general public.
Strong analytical skills.
Must be able to function well in a small team environment with excellent
interpersonal skill.
Candidate must be an effective communicator with all levels of management
including external CPA firm and customers.
Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.
4 year degree in accounting, finance, or business.
Minimum of three years accounting/bookkeeping experience.
MS Office Excel expertise and Accounting Software (NetSuite preferred) are required. |
